JAYLON
JOHNNIE
Brothers Johnnie and Jaylon Gordon began their entertainment careers at just four and five years old as actors. They are best known for portraying Young Meech and Young Terry on Starz’s hit series BMF. While acting has earned them numerous accolades, their true passion for the arts and unwavering faith shine through their music.
Inspired by Flame and V. Rose’s hit single Surrender, Johnnie and Jaylon launched their musical journey in 2014 with their debut single Clap. Since then, they’ve continued to refine their craft, releasing powerful tracks like Peace of Mind (Remix) featuring V. Rose, Cash In, Crossfire, and Thy Kingdom Come. Their first full-length album, All In, set the stage for their latest release, Thy Kingdom Come (Remix) featuring 1K Phew.
JMGBOYZ are on a mission to shift the perception of Christian music. Their motto, “Make a joyful [sound] unto the Lord,” is more than just words—it’s the heartbeat of their music, a fresh and authentic sound that reaches beyond the walls of tradition to impact lives.
Get to know Jaylon
Jaylon is an 18-year-old actor, model, and recording artist whose career has been just as remarkable as his older brother's. Discovered by XXI Century Entertainment at the age of 4, Jaylon quickly rose through the ranks to become one of their success stories. Over the course of his career, he has had the privilege of working with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including Oprah Winfrey, Anthony Mackie, Nia Long, Brady, Dorian Missick, Omari Hardwick, Lisa Arrindell, David Banner, and Russell Hornsby among others.
Jaylon’s impressive body of work spans across commercials, feature films, stage plays, national print ads, and magazines. However, he is perhaps most recognized for his role as Young Terry in the STARZ hit series BMF. Just like his brother Johnnie, Jaylon enjoyed the unique opportunity to add authenticity to the show, by portraying real life brothers (on screen) as real life brothers, showcasing their undeniable chemistry and real life sibling bond.
In addition to his impressive acting career, Jaylon mirrors his brother’s academic achievements by finishing high school a year early. He is on track to graduate with both his high school diploma and an associate degree, showcasing his commitment to education and personal growth. Jaylon’s drive, humility, and dedication to his craft are truly inspiring, and like his brother, he continues to pave the way for young people, proving that excellence can be achieved in both entertainment and academics.
Get to know Johnnie
Johnnie is a multi-talented 19-year-old actor, model, recording artist, and producer. At the age of 3 Johnnie told his parents he wanted, "To be a model man and be IN the TV like Zack and Cody". Johnnie was discovered by XXI Century Entertainment at the age of 5, and is now listed as one of their success stories.
Johnnie has appeared in commercials, feature films, stage plays, national print ads and magazines. Johnnie is best known for his role, as Young Meech, in STARZ hit series BMF, where he had chance to work alongside his brother playing real life brothers (on-screen) as real life brothers.
Outside of his rising star status, Johnnie is also an incredibly accomplished scholar. Demonstrating his exceptional work ethic and intellectual drive, he graduated high school at just 17, earning his associate degree alongside his high school diploma. His dedication to education didn’t stop there. By the age of 19, he had already obtained his bachelor’s degree, further proving his commitment to both his academic and professional goals. Despite his many achievements, Johnnie remains grounded and humble, always acknowledging the importance of perseverance. He takes none of his accolades for granted, using his success as a platform to inspire and empower the youth. With his story, he hopes to show young people that with faith and hard work, it’s possible to excel in multiple fields and achieve greatness, no matter their background or/and circumstances.
